Molly and I went on a walk yesterday to enjoy the unseasonable warm November temperatures. We took the dog and walked to the park to play. After having a good time, we headed home. I noticed a bunch of bird sitting on the electric wires above us. Molly screamed at them. A few got up and fluttered to another wire. She thought that was funny, so she yelled louder. The whole flock flew up and over us when they heard her voice. One was even so kind as to poop right on Molly's head!
Molly being the graceful child that she is, just mentioned that she was pooped on. "No, no." I said, "It missed us." I had seen the poop fall. I thought that is what you get when you scream at birds. But then I was glad it had missed us. "No, my head is really wet mom." Sure enough, there was poop on her head! When I explained there was nothing I could do until we got home, she sat back (didn't complain) and enjoyed the rest of her stroller ride. When we got home she calmly reminded me that we needed to clean her up. I was so proud of her because I would have not been so calm and gracious if I had poop in my hair!
