We made it through Christmas...phew!

We had a wonderful Christmas at our house. The quotes from Christmas from the kids were priceless and made the Christmas much more memorable.

Christmas Eve we talked about traditions from our houses growing up so the kids could understand where some of our current traditions come from. I mentioned my father always reading the Luke Bible verse and playing games on Christmas Eve. Todd talked about his frozen pizza on Christmas Eve. Colin had no idea what he was talking about.

C: What is frozen pizza?
T: Well it is like Papa Murphy's pizza only frozen.
R: You buy it in the grocery store frozen.
C: Didn't you have ovens?
Z: Is that like the pizza from the place next to the wine store?
T: (Laughing) Yes, we had ovens. You bake the pizza just like the Papa Murphy's pizza, which is what the pizza place next to the wine shop is called, but you buy it frozen.
C: I don't really get it...That's really odd.

At Christmas Eve church, I looked over at Molly who was furiously "writing" in a notebook from her backpack of stuff to do. She looked up at me and said "I am writing a letter to the Easter Bunny. He needs more Christmas Spirit."

Zachary woke up on Christmas morning as early as possible to see what Santa brought. After opening his presents from Santa and his family he looked at me and said "How come I ALWAYS get everything I want on Christmas? Am I really THAT good?" Later he declared Christmas the "Best Day of My Life!"

But perhaps the best was the letter we received from Zach with the present he made us from school.

Not even a new car could have made my Christmas more memorable!
