Preschool Art

I have touted my fondness for preschool art many times before.  Preschool art is very simple, yet because preschoolers can’t generally write their ideas down, the art is very expressive of their thoughts and feelings.  Molly handed me this wonderful drawing last week on the morning in which we had our first snowflakes fall.  It is a picture of her, me, and Emmie with snow all around us.  She can write the simple words of Molly, Mom and Love to show how she feels about me.  So precious!

I expressed this to her.  Then I noticed the large circles just below my head.  I remember when Zach drew pictures of me in preschool they always included this extra bit of anatomy.  So, just to check, I said “Molly this is such a beautiful picture of me.  And look you gave me such a big heart to show how much I love you.”  She started to say “No, Mommy those are your…yep, that is your heart.  I love you so.”

Now all of her pictures of me include a giant heart.
