A New Camera

I sort of feel guilty.  I purchased a new camera about a week ago because I so love taking pictures.  I am no professional and don't really have dreams of working for National Geographic or anything, but I still want a camera that can keep up with me.  I bought a really nice camera, not as nice as I put on my Christmas list hoping that Santa might deliver it (as my kids say...he doesn't have to pay for it anyway), but a definite step up for me.  However, I decided to make a jump from Sony to Cannon and there is a learning curve.

In the very first 24 hours I owned the camera I took over 200 pictures.  I took 120 of my cousin's daughter and the other 80 plus were of my own kids.  Now, I am still learning...but here are a couple of my favorite shots.  As I learn more, the pictures seem to get better...but I still am making plenty of mistakes.  That is both the challenge and frustration that I love about photography!

Brielle is beautiful

Brielle and Tanya, love this one

Miss Molly in the woods

Zach loves to climb trees!

Found a giant ice chuck...makes him look like he has an ice beard!

Molly and my footprints in the snow (too much photoshop on this one, note to self to fix)

Zach at basketball...nope, I don't have the tallest kids! (light in a gym is a nightmare to photograph around so I was glad a couple turned out, sort of. I like this one because they both seem focused on their coach during their drill with lots of activity behind them)
