The theory goes...if you make your costume at home out of things you have around the house, then you get at least double the candy over wearing a store bought costume.
So it is with that in mind that the boys planned their costumes this year. Colin and Zach LOVE the game Zombie Farm, so Zach went as the farmer of zombies and Colin went as a red Zombie (his sign says brains because that is what zombies eat). Molly went with the store bought My Little Pony Starsong costume. I literally got 30 seconds to snap a couple of pictures before they were off to trick-or-treat...and this is the only one that doesn't have someone blurred out from moving.
So what about the theory? They all came home with a grocery bag half full of candy...the boys getting slightly more (but not double) the candy of Molly. It was a successful Halloween all around with more candy that could be consumed by five people in a year! Of course the kids would like to try to test that theory next!
