The Birds.

I am not sure if it is the weather, the fact that we decided to sell our house, spring sports starting, or allergies kicking in, but the fighting at our house has reached epic levels.  Every morning the boys are screaming at each other as they get ready for school.  Many afternoons they start screaming as soon as the walk in the door from school.  This behavior was one of the biggest motivations to sell our house and find one where everyone could have their own bedroom, their own space!

So, the other morning I was shocked when he house went quiet.  I mean there was not a sound.  Something was just not right! So I went looking for the reason for the quiet; and, I found the kids all lined up watching the birds out the window.

In the weeks since we returned from Mexico, I have added a squirrel feeder, a suet feeder and another seed feeder to our one little bird feeder from last year.  The birds and squirrels come frequently and the kids love to watch them.  Molly keeps her bird book out noting each type and watching the migrations.  She has named several of the regular birds as well.  Who knew a few birds would be the key to my sanity?
