Now that the kids are in school, what are you going to do with all of your free time?
I get asked that a lot. It has been over a week since school started for all three and I am still waiting to find out what will happen when I have free time. I don't know if it is because after 10 years of being home with little ones that my "to-do" list has grown to the size of Texas or if it is because Todd is gone in India for two weeks while we build a house, but I seem to be able to fill every minute of the school day. I mean I did take a 20 minute nap one day and I did read a chapter in my book on a different day. So, that was how I spent my "free time" and unfortunately neither instance lead to boredom.
You see, I was told I would be bored within two weeks. I have 4 days to go until I reach two weeks and I still have yet to experience the promised boredom. Today I have more on my to-do list than hours in the day. I guess I will have to add boredom onto the "to-do" list and see if I can fit that in for Thursday. I mean a girl can dream...I can only imagine what boredom would feel like.
I would like to report that after I dropped everyone off for school, I did try to go to the bathroom by myself. The dog followed me right in there looking for some attention. In the past that was the only time I was still long enough for her to get a little ear scratching. I guess it will take a little while to train her to let me have some peace in the potty.
So the magic that was to be mine after putting all three kids in school...free time, boredom, and potty freedom...have yet to be realized. But I still have 4 days until the magical 2 weeks is up and I can only hope to experience one of the three...
