Best.Comment.Ever.

In the middle of all my Charlie Brown Christmas wallowing, my daughter got sick.  It would seem the icing on the cake in an otherwise grumpy time.  However, it turned out to be the best day.  Although she was under the weather, we got to snuggle in and read books together all afternoon.  We got to watch PBS kids together.  We got to have lunch together.  It just just like the good ol' days...from last year.  So as the day came to an end, my beautiful daughter looked up at me from her place on my lap and said "I long for the good ol' days when I was home with you. I miss you Mommy." My heart melted.  I long for them too!
